Technology advice & implementation

Make a considered decision about your business tools.

When the tools no longer fit the work, start with the decision you need to make. Assess the current setup, compare practical options and implement an agreed change with clear operating instructions.

Understand the situation before adding another tool.

Look at the task, the people who use the tools and the points where information is copied or lost. Separate a process problem from a configuration issue or a genuine need for something new.

  • Map the tools and handoffs involved in one business task.
  • Compare options against requirements, cost and maintenance.
  • Name the access, information and decisions needed before a change.

Implement a manageable improvement.

An agreed project may configure an existing tool, connect a defined pair of systems or replace a manual step. The scope establishes what changes, what needs testing and how the business can return to the manual process if necessary.

Make operation part of the deliverable.

A useful handover explains who owns the accounts, how to run the agreed process, what to check and when to ask for help. Record known limitations and recovery steps so the next decision is informed.

Questions before you start

Do I have to replace the tools I use?

No. An existing feature, clearer process or small configuration change may be enough. Compare the options before committing.

Is ongoing support part of every project?

Support is agreed separately. The proposal should state its allowance, exclusions and responsibilities; emergency or unlimited support is not implied.

What should I share first?

Describe the decision, the tools involved and the result you want. Leave credentials and private customer information out of the initial inquiry.

What needs a clearer decision?

Bring the question and the work behind it. Start with a practical assessment of the next step.

Get in touch

Getting in touch does not commission an assessment. We agree its scope and fee before paid work begins. Any implementation is a separate, agreed scope.

Consultations are arranged by email with at least 48 hours’ notice. An appointment is confirmed only when we agree on a time.
